We’re excited to announce a significant update to our staking system: the Dual Invitation Code Mechanism. This new system enhances how invitation codes are generated and managed for users staking BTC or BTC-equivalent assets, by allowing both BTC addresses and EVM addresses to generate independent invitation codes.
Let’s break down how this update works and what it means for you as a staker!
Invitation Code Generation
One of the major changes in this update is that both BTC and EVM addresses will generate separate invitation codes. These codes are independent of each other and exist separately for BTC and EVM addresses. Here’s what to expect:
- Independent Codes for BTC and EVM Addresses: When you stake BTC, an invitation code will be generated for your BTC address, and when you stake BTC-equivalent assets (such as BTCB or wBTC), an invitation code will be generated for your EVM address.
- Fixed Invitation Code for EVM Addresses: Once an invitation code is generated for an EVM address, it will remain unchanged, providing a stable and consistent code for future transactions.
This streamlined system ensures that each address type has its own unique invitation code, reducing confusion and making it easier to share or track invitations.
Historical Record Viewing
We understand the importance of transparency in staking, which is why we’ve made it easy to view your historical records. With this update, you can see the full history of your BTC staking transactions and the corresponding invitation code or EVM address used for each transaction.
This feature allows you to monitor your staking activities and invitation code usage across all your staked assets.
Display of Points and Invitation Codes
Total Points Display: Your total points will now consist of:
BTC Basic Points + BTC Invitation Points + EVM Basic Points + EVM Invitation Points.
Invitation Code Display:
- When you connect a BTC wallet, your BTC address invitation code will be displayed.
- When you connect an EVM wallet, your EVM address invitation code will be displayed.
- If neither wallet is connected, a prompt to “Connect BTC/EVM Wallet” will guide you to connect the appropriate wallet to view your invitation code.
Binding Invitation Codes
On the Rewards page, you will need to bind separate invitation codes for both BTC and EVM wallets. If you have only connected one type of wallet, you will see one input field, while the other will prompt you to connect the other wallet to bind the respective code.
On the Staking Confirmation page:
- If your From address is a BTC address, you’ll be prompted to bind a BTC invitation code.
- If your From address is an EVM address, you’ll be prompted to bind an EVM invitation code.
Carryover from Cap 1 to Cap 2
If you are a Cap 1 participant, your staking amount from Cap 1 will automatically be counted toward your total staking amount in Cap 2.
This means that Cap 2 “My Stake” = Cap 1 + Cap 2.
If you unstake BTC (withdraw) from Cap 1, your total “My Stake” in Cap 2 will also be reduced accordingly.
Reward Rate Boost
As part of the updates, the points reward rate has been upgraded to 1500 Points / BTC / Day, enhancing the rewards for BTC staking participants.
What This Means for You
In short, the Dual Invitation Code Mechanism allows for more flexibility and independence in how invitation codes and points are generated. This means:
- Separate Codes for BTC and EVM Addresses: You will now have a unique invitation code for each type of address, simplifying the sharing and tracking of rewards.
- Clearer Points Distribution: Basic and invitation points are now independently calculated for BTC and EVM addresses, allowing for more accurate rewards tracking.
- Unified User Experience: Whether you’re staking BTC or BTC-equivalent assets, the system is designed to make managing your rewards simpler and more efficient.
We’re confident this update will enhance your staking experience and make it easier for you to earn and manage rewards across BTC and EVM addresses. Stay tuned for more exciting updates, and happy staking!
