TL;DR: Lorenzo Protocol has partnered with Bitlayer, the first Bitcoin security-equivalent Layer 2 based on the BitVM paradigm, to boost growth and engagement across their ecosystems. Bringing stBTC To The Bitlayer Ecosystem
Key to our partnership will be the use of stBTC, Lorenzo’s native liquid principle token (LPT).
By enacting staker incentives, Lorenzo will drive stBTC — generated through the staking of BTC to Babylon and other POS chains — to Bitlayer for use across applications and yield-generating opportunities present in Bitlayer’s DeFi ecosystem.
The result will be a parallel rise in TVL for Bitlayer and Lorenzo, more yield opportunities for their respective community members, and higher engagement across each ecosystem.
